Henry is a disturbed youth living in a small rural community. He has withdrawn into a world largely devoid of meaningful social contact. Instead, his daily life is preoccupied with an obsessive interest in the birds and insects that inhabit the local area. As things prey on his troubled mind a deliberate act of cruelty takes Henry to the very edge.
